Dear Members,
Dear Travellers,

It is with great pleasure that I am addressing you as the ACTTA President.

On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to thank our members for trusting us in rising to the challenges and crafting the prospects of the tourism industry.

I would like to thank the previous Board of Directors for the excellent work conducted during some of the most challenging times our industry has ever faced and ensure all stakeholders that we shall continue the hard work in a planned and organised manner, aiming to promote and protect our members’ interests while at the same time ensuring travellers receive the highest level of service and protection possible.

Our role and responsibility lie towards our members as well as travellers alike and it is in this context that we shall be proceeding ahead.

The Association of Cyprus Travel & Tourism Agents is poised to oversee, support and contribute to the strategic development of our industry’s future in close cooperation with all related private and public sector stakeholders in Cyprus and abroad.
In this respect and in close cooperation with ECTAA of which we are a member, we constantly follow and monitor European and global trends and changes while contributing in a responsible and positive way.

ACTTA shall continue to put forward proposals for reforms aiming to improve the travel and tourism environment as well as offer its expertise in both outbound and inbound tourism striving to develop the most efficient, dynamic and valuable for travellers and tourists legal framework.

Our key priorities shall focus on three pillars:

Informing our members on industry developments and where necessary providing relevant training.
Making a conscious effort so that our members operate within a level playing field and are not faced with unfair competition often arising from unlicenced activities which normally put travellers at risk.
Contributing in reforming National Tourism Strategy as well as the legal framework where such is considered necessary, mainly by proposing changes that would extract aged provisions that are counterproductive and hinder key parameters of our industry.

The number of tourist arrivals and even more so outbound traffic, have rebounded in 2023 reflecting the will of people around the world to travel. Yet, our very dynamic and constantly evolving industry will always remain susceptible to external threats and in this respect ACTTA shall do its utmost to assist in developing such a framework whereby any such event would have the least possible impact.

At this point I would like to encourage Cypriot travellers to take advantage of our members’ knowledge, expertise and experience when planning their traveling be it leisure or business related. Our members have the tools to provide value services.

The new Board of Directors will always be open to suggestions as well as constructive criticism on all tourism and travel related matters. I urge all ACTTA members to actively participate in a constructive dialogue.
